Sir Elton John has visited 10 Downing Street to talk with David Cameron about the work of his Aids Foundation

Sir Elton John has visited 10 Downing Street to talk with Prime Minister David Cameron about the work of his Aids Foundation.

Since 1992, the Elton John Aids Foundation has raised more than £130 million in the US and UK to fund care and support for people living with HIV/Aids, HIV prevention programmes and efforts to eliminate stigma and discrimination associated with the illness.

Also meeting Sir Elton was International Development Secretary Andrew Mitchell, whose department has worked with the Foundation on projects overseas.

The Department for International Development said that the discussion focused on the Foundation's work and the Government's commitment to tackling HIV/Aids.
