Stars help Bono mark 54th birthday
Bono was treated to some unusual entertainment as he celebrated his 54th birthday.
The U2 rocker was surrounded by celeb friends such as Oscar-winner Jared Leto and chart star Pharrell Williams at his party in Los Angeles, where the crowd was treated to performances by David Blaine and a "shaving cream performer".
Us Weekly reported that magician David dazzled the crowd by eating a banana and smoking an electric cigar underwater.
Guests also got to watch the shaving cream performer, who was sent as a gift by pals Charlize Theron and Sean Penn, and who "transforms his body with shaving cream into characters".
Bono also enjoyed "a lot of surprise performances", including one from Herbie Hancock and Happy singer Pharrell.
Pharrell told the Irish star: "You've changed the world with everything you do. You give people hope, especially with your song Sunday, Bloody Sunday."
Bono replied: "Well, if we just keep singing Happy, we won't need songs like Sunday, Bloody Sunday!"
The star was celebrating his big day alongside his 25-year-old daughter Jordan, as the pair share a birthday.
