Stewart won't have any more kids
Rod Stewart has said that his eighth child will be his last.
The 65-year-old rocker quipped that he can't afford further additions to the family but he doesn't plan to have a vasectomy as he "still wanted his bits to work".
Rod, whose third wife Penny, 39, is pregnant, told Australia's Channel 9 news: "I'm very happy but it will be the last. I can't have any more kids, otherwise I'll be touring until I'm 90."
The singer has seven children, ranging in age from four to 46, with five different women.
Rod has revealed that his children are delighted about the pregnancy and had known for a couple of years that he and Penny had been trying for another baby.
Asked if he planned to take the new baby on stage as he did with four-year-old son Alastair, Rod said: "I might do it once or twice. I wouldn't want to exploit him or her, though. It's good for the kids to see where their daddy works."
Rod does not know the sex of the baby, due in the new year, but said if he had a boy "he'll have a Celtic name like all the other boys".
