Styles and Barlow to pen tune?

Harry Styles has reportedly been getting career advice from Gary Barlow

Gary Barlow has reportedly "offered" to write a song with One Direction's Harry Styles.

The 19-year-old singer met up with the Take That star while he was in New York, where they chatted about the X Factor judge's career.

A source told The Sun: "Gary has been over in New York working on music for a Broadway musical version of Finding Neverland. He heard Harry was in town and arranged to meet up.

"They had a great afternoon talking about Gary's life in Take That as a young bloke and then more recently. Harry is an attentive guy and really listens. He likes keeping older company and soaks up as much advice as he can get."

Gary, 42, also offered Harry songwriting advice along with the opportunity to work together: "Gary talked him through his songwriting techniques and offered to write with him whenever they get the chance."

Harry has been spending time in the Big Apple, and has been spotted shopping with British model Kara Rose Marshall.

He also tweeted a photo of himself with some cops from the New York Police Department, adding: "NYPD are nice."
