Suede have revealed that they "sweated and bled" for their new album Bloodsports.

The London-based band, fronted by Brett Anderson, have been in the studio working on their sixth studio album - their first in 10 years.

"After a year of sweating and bleeding over the record it's finally finished so we wanted to get some music out there as soon as we could," Brett said.

"The album is called Bloodsports. It's about lust, it's about the chase, it's about the endless carnal game of love. It was possibly the hardest we've ever made but certainly the most satisfying."

The 45-year-old singer added: "It's ten furious songs, which for me have reclaimed from ourselves what Suede was always about; drama, melody and noise."

A single, Barriers, is available to download free from the band's website (www.suede.co.uk), and the album's lead single It Starts And Ends With You will be out in February, before the record's release in March.

"Barriers isn't the first single but we are proud of it enough just to chuck it out there and thought that it's pulsing, romantic swell somehow summed up the feel of the album quite nicely," Brett said.

Suede regrouped in 2010 after a seven-year break and are set to play a one-off show at London's Alexandra Palace on March 30.

Sagittarius:

Working in isolation doesn't suit you. You're a social creature who gets your best ideas when collaborating with others. Unfortunately, that's not possible right now. Resign yourself to this difficult situation. If you do a good job, you'll pave the way for bigger and better assignments. Part of the problem is you lack experience. The only way to get the training you need is to do some volunteer work. Making a temporary sacrifice will eventually pay off. Be patient.More
