T in the Park for Florence and Noel

Florence Welch first played T in the Park in 2009

Florence + the Machine and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds have been booked to play this year's T in the Park.

The Vaccines, The Maccabees, Two Door Cinema Club and Frank Turner are also part of the line-up.

Festival organisers previously announced that The Stone Roses will headline the event at Balado near Kinross in Perthshire this summer.

Other acts announced today are Miles Kane, The Horrors and Maverick Sabre.

Florence + the Machine were the Critics' Choice at the BRIT Awards in 2009 and first played T in the Park that year.

Noel played at the very first T in the Park with Oasis in 1994 and headlined the main stage in 2002. He now returns with Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.

Festival organisers DF Concerts and founding partner Tennent's Lager will unveil the other two main-stage headline acts on Thursday, along with more of the line-up.

The festival is on 6-8 July with a capacity of 85,000 per day.

Half of the tickets are gone already, with the final batch going on sale at 9am on Wednesday February 29.
