Take That and Tempah win at Brits

Take That were named best group, Mumford And Sons picked up the album prize and Tinie Tempah was a double winner at the Brit Awards 2011.

Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Howard Donald, Jason Orange and the recently returned Robbie Williams accepted the British Group gong for the first time in their career at the star-studded O2 ceremony hosted by James Corden.

After receiving their award, Mark Owen gestured to Robbie Williams, saying: "Can I say thanks for coming back mate. Appreciate it.

"It's a real pleasure for the five of us to be up here."

Mumford And Sons received the Mastercard British album award for Sigh No More from The Who's Roger Daltrey. Accepting the award, Marcus Mumford said: "This is very bizarre, very strange. Thank you very much indeed."

Tinie Tempah was named British breakthrough act, before picking up the award for best British single for Pass Out. The rapper paid tribute to his collaborator Labyrinth who worked on the song.

Plan B was named best British male solo artist, while nu-folk singer-songwriter Laura Marling dedicated her British female solo artist gong to her mum.

Cheryl Cole handed over the award for best international female solo artist to her "girl crush" Rihanna. The US star, wearing a white dress covered in red roses, thanked her fans and yelled "Britain I love you". Cee Lo Green was named best international male solo artist.

Canadian band Arcade Fire followed their Grammy success at the weekend by picking up two Brits - for international group and international album for The Suburbs. Their fellow countryman Justin Bieber was named international breakthrough act.

Jessie J collected the Critics' Choice award which had been announced before the ceremony while Markus Dravs was named best British producer.
