The Killers to play at MTV EMAs

The Killers will perform at the MTV VMAs

The Killers are set to make a Hot Fuss on stage at the 2013 MTV European Music Awards in Amsterdam.

The Las Vegas band will make their fourth performance at the music ceremony at the upcoming event.

The group, who are up for two awards, are the second announced act, following Katy Perry, who will perform her new single Unconditionally.

LMFAO's Redfoo will be the MC on the night. He said: "So excited to add some ridiculousness to this crazy party!"

Ariana Grande, the star of Nickelodeon's Sam And Cat, will make her EMAs debut as the backstage host

"I'm so excited to go to the MTV EMAs and be the eyes and ears backstage for all the fans around the world! It's going to be a lot of fun!" she said.

Justin Timberlake and Macklemore And Ryan Lewis lead this year's nominations with five nods each, while Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke are each up for four awards.

Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Green Day, Thirty Seconds To Mars, Daft Punk, Rudimental, Icona Pop and One Direction are also up for gongs, alongside Rihanna, Eminem, Katy Perry and Jay Z.

Will Ferrell's Anchorman alter-ego Ron Burgundy will appear as a special guest, reporting from various city landmarks throughout the show.

The EMAs will be broadcast live on November 10 at 9pm from the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam.
