Timberlake up for six MTV VMAs

Justin Timberlake is up for six gongs at the MTV Video Music Awards

Justin Timberlake and Macklemore And Ryan Lewis are leading the field for this year's MTV Video Music Awards.

The Suit And Tie singer and the My Oh My stars are both nominated in six categories.

Justin's Mirrors and Macklemore And Ryan Lewis' Thrift Shop will go head-to-head for the top gong, Video Of The Year. They will be up against Bruno Mars' Locked Out Of Heaven, Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines and Taylor Swift's I Knew You Were Trouble.

Justin also has nods in the Best Male Video, Pop Video and Collaboration categories, while Macklemore And Ryan Lewis' nominations include Hip-Hop Video.

Other stars with plenty of mentions in the nominations include Bruno Mars, who is up for four gongs, and Miley Cyrus, Pink and Thirty Seconds To Mars, who have three nods each. Robin Thicke has two other nominations as well as Video Of The Year.

The VMAs will be given out at Brooklyn's Barclays Centre in a glitzy ceremony on August 25.
