Tom Chaplin set for parenthood role

Tom Chaplin is to be a dad

Keane frontman Tom Chaplin is set to become a first time dad.

The star, 34, told BBC Breakfast that his wife Natalie Dive is expecting their first child.

"My wife's got a baby on the way next year, and I'm hoping to make a solo record as well so that is going to be a bit of a diversion," he said.

Tom and Natalie married in 2011.

Keane - whose song Somewhere Only We Know has been covered by Lily Allen in the John Lewis Christmas advert - are currently on a break but Tom said it would not be permanent.

The singer said: "We have known each other all our lives and (the band) is an integral part of who we are."

When in doubt, talk to a trusted friend. They'll give you an honest assessment of this bond. A relative may ask to come to their rescue. Fortunately, you have the necessary resources to bail them out.More
