Top five songs of festival season

Music festival season looks set to be dominated by British male acts, if predictions from Google Play Music are anything to go by.

Google Play Music has predicted that the top four out of five songs that will be the most heard and played this summer are likely to be from British male acts.

The song taking the top spot in its predicted list is Hozier's Take Me To Church, while James Bay is second most likely, George Ezra third, Catfish and the Bottlemen fourth, and Jamie T fifth.

Their estimations tie in with the launch of their festival season playlists.

Rory Woodbridge, streaming lead for Google Play Music in Europe, said: "Our handcrafted festival playlists select the best of this summer's festivals to help fans choose their favourite line-up.

"From favourites like Hozier and James Bay to up-and-comers like Lucy Rose, we hope these playlists will put fans in the mood for festival season."
