Tulisa: N-Dubz cramped my style

Tulisa has launched her debut fashion line

Tulisa Contostavlos has admitted she didn't have a chance to develop her own style when she was in N-Dubz.

The 24-year-old X Factor judge has launched her own fashion line TFB - a range of dresses, outfits and shoes - at London's Westfield shopping centre. She admitted she had developed a very different style since taking a break from hip-hop group N-Dubz, which she was in with her cousin Dappy and their friend Fazer.

Tulisa said: "I think my style has changed, but what's important to remember is when I was in N-Dubz I was next to two guys in tracksuits that I was trying to blend with and it was very hard to find myself or even think about fashion.

"Whereas since all of us taking a break I've had more time to find myself when it comes to fashion and get into it.

"And it was only really when I went off on my own that I started to enjoy fashion more, and that side of things."

Describing TFB, the singer said: "It's me in all kinds of moods so it's pretty versatile. We've got everything from me going to do radio in the morning and wearing a cosy jumper with some flats or trainers, to something a bit more spiced up for a night out or what I'd wear on stage performing."

Tulisa wants to share her style with her fans but added:"I don't see myself as style icon, just like I don't see myself as role model. I think there's a difference. I like to inspire people."
