U2 land in Dublin ahead of Croke Park gig

Irish rockers U2 have landed in Dublin ahead of their Croke Park gig this weekend.

The band are set to take to the stage in front of 80,000 fans on Saturday, July 22 as part of their Joshua Tree live tour.

They first played their Joshua Tree show at the city venue when the album was released 30 years ago.

Their current 51-date tour kicked off in Canada in May and will see them perform live dates right through to October.

They will perform just one date in Dublin on Saturday. Tickets for the massive concert sold out in just six minutes when they were released in January.

Bono and co arrived at Dublin Airport on Wednesday via private jet.
