The City of Armagh's 7 Hills Blues Festival kicks off tomorrow - boasting 30 free gigs.

From Chicago Rhythm, Country Slide and Roots to Rock ‘n’ Blues, Boogie Woogie and Funk Style - some of the finest Blues bands around have been confirmed for the festival.

The opening event features the Rory Gallagher Tribute Evening and an exhibition featuring Sinner Boy. Armagh is also hosting an evening with George Lowden to mark the opening of a special exhibition.

Music lovers can also soak up the atmosphere in the grounds of the Palace Demesne, enjoying a picnic at the Franciscan Friary or bring the whole family along to several workshops and events.

Local restaurants and cafes are also getting into the spirit with a trail with themed menus and dishes bringing a taste of Mississippi, Chicago and New Orleans to Armagh.
