The Voice stars and Sir Tom Jones have both been added to the bill of pop spectacular the BBC Music Awards later this week.

Both stars - who are coaches on the BBC One singing contest - will perform at the event to be staged at London's Earls Court on December 11.

Also newly added to the bill today are chart-topping singer Ellie Goulding and US jazz star Gregory Porter, whose voice currently features in the M&S Christmas ad, duetting with late star Julie London on Fly Me To The Moon.

Other acts due to play include One Direction, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Clean Bandit and Take That, with an audience of around 13,500 people due to attend the show which will be broadcast live on BBC1 and on Radios 1 and 2.

Chris Evans and Fearne Cotton will host the event, which will honour the British and international artists of the year as well as the best song of the past 12 months.
