Voice winner Andrea Begley joins JLS for Pop on the Dock in Belfast
The Voice winner Andrea Begley will join JLS and a host of other bands to stage a series of music events during this summer's World Police and Fire Games.
The 26-year-old from Pomeroy, Co Tyrone, who is the niece of Irish country music legend Philomena Begley, was crowned winner of the second series of the hit BBC1 show last month after wowing viewers with her rendition of Evanescence's My Immortal.
Now Andrea (right), who lost 90% of her vision as a result of glaucoma, has come on board to support NI Cancer Fund for Children. Proceeds from the event will go towards the charity's planned new £3 million therapeutic short break centre it is building at the foot of the Mourne Mountains in Co Down.
At the Pop on the Dock concert, which will take place at the Titanic Slipways in Belfast on August 2, Andrea will deliver a special acoustic performance – a little taster of what fans can expect from her upcoming concert which will take place in Belfast on November 3.
She will be joined by boy band JLS, in what will be one of their last concerts before they split.
Also on the bill will be Portadown's Microlip, Dublin-based Keywest and Jordan O'Keefe.
The concert will be compered by Boyzone singer, Coronation Street star and regular Belfast visitor Keith Duffy.
