Wainwright: Son changed everything

Martha Wainwright has revealed becoming a mum helped her cope with the death of her own mother.

The singer's mother Kate McGarrigle died in January 2010, just two months after Martha's son Arcangelo was born.

Martha, whose brother is the musician Rufus Wainwright, told Metro: "Becoming a mother has changed everything. I had my son around the same time as my mother died. I was a new mother and motherless at the same time.

"When my mother died, I couldn't crawl into a ball and stay in bed for months because I had a new baby to look after."

The 36-year-old said of folk singer Kate: "She was a very strong and powerful person and I hope I've been able to take some of those traits from her to get through that time and take care of my son."

It looks as if the prospects for a relationship are good, so long as your intentions are honourable. Playing with a person's heart will backfire miserably. Make sure your feelings are deep and true before embarking on an affair.More
