Wainwright takes commitment leap

Rufus Wainwright plans to make a splash on his wedding day

Rufus Wainwright is reportedly going to jump into the Atlantic to celebrate his wedding this week.

The 39-year-old musician and his long-time partner, Jorn Weisbrodt, are tying the knot at Rufus's house in Montauk in the Hamptons on August 23. They are planning to jump into the ocean after the ceremony and are encouraging their guests to join them, a source told The New York Times.

Rufus and Jorn, who are parents to one-year-old daughter Viva Katherine - have been engaged since November 2010.

The couple have reportedly already bought their own wedding present - a 25-foot Airstream travel trailer. They are asking guests to donate to the cost -which can be up to 75,000 dollars depending on how much it has been customised - instead of giving traditional gifts.

The couple - who will be married by a minister - sent out save-the-date videos announcing their wedding in February, with a clip shot by theatre producer Jorn. Rufus is pictured writing out the details of the big day in the sand on the beach.

Rufus has not confirmed or denied whether he will perform at his own wedding, but has apparently chosen "other performers" to play.

The singer-songwriter is due to perform at the Salome Music Festival in East Hampton's Guild Hall on August 26, three days after the ceremony.

Taurus:

An embarrassing secret will come to light, affecting your reputation. Somebody who once admired you will now turn away in dismay. Instead of trying to win their affection again, lay low for a wee while. You'll make a much better impression by letting your actions speak for themselves. There is a chance this relationship is beyond redemption. If your former friend decides to keep their distance, you will have no other choice than to respect their feelings. Better luck next time.More
