Kimberley Walsh has joked that she made one of her bandmates jealous by boasting that she's Noel Gallagher's favourite Girls Aloud member.
The Shrek star had to turn down High Flying Birds singer Noel's attempt to book her for a Teenage Cancer Trust show this year, because it clashed with the Girls Aloud tour.
The Sun quoted Kimberley as saying: "He called me up out of the blue. It's great that he's involved and is arranging it.
"It was exciting to speak to him. I was like, 'Really?' He said I was his favourite (Girls Aloud member) and Sarah (Harding) wasn't very happy about that."
Kimberley, who came in for some criticism over her first solo TV performance last month, says seeing bandmates Nicola Roberts, Cheryl Cole and Nadine Coyle launch their solo careers before her didn't put pressure on her to follow in their footsteps.
"I didn't feel like I wanted to record an album. I was happy to try out other things," Kimberley, who has released a collection of songs from her favourite musicals, said.
