We will be back, insist Idlewild

Rod Jones says Idlewild will be back

Idlewild's Rod Jones has reassured fans the group will be back touring and recording together after their hiatus.

The Scottish band, who played at Ben And Jerry's Sundae On The Common, plan to take about a year off following a tour in the US.

Guitarist Rod, who hopes to pursue his own solo projects, said: "We're going to take a year or so off and just finish all the other things that we do. We've been touring consistently for 15 years. We're tired."

He went on: "We're going to take a wee while off and then start working on another record and maybe try not to play again till we've got another record to play."

Rod confessed the news of their break hasn't gone down well with fans.

He said: "We will come back. We are just going to take a bit of a break. We haven't stipulated how long it will be. People are a bit annoyed about that."

Virgo:

It's difficult to deal with a highly competitive colleague. Every time you submit work, they try to find ways to outperform you. Although you have no interest in pitting your talent against theirs, this other person thinks very differently. Ignoring them won't be possible. A good way to disarm this pest is to invite them out for coffee. Describe what you've observed and ask for a truce. Irrational people are often thrown off balance when their behaviour is addressed in a direct manner.More
