Welch to perform on Grammy stage

Florence Welch will take to the stage at the Grammys

Florence Welch, Christina Aguilera and Jennifer Hudson will be performing a "get well" tribute to Aretha Franklin at the Grammys, it has been announced.

Christina will be singing just days after she fluffed a line as she belted out the national anthem at the US Super Bowl.

Grammy organisers described the performance as a "Valentine" and "get well card" to the Queen of Soul.

Aretha, who has won 18 Grammys over the years, had surgery for an undisclosed ailment in December, but has since said that her health is "superb".

The performance will feature individual and collective performances of some of the soul legend's classic hits.

Previously announced performers at the 53rd Grammy Awards include Barbra Streisand, who is a nominee for best traditional pop vocal album for Love Is The Answer, Eminem, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Cee Lo Green, Gwyneth Paltrow, Arcade Fire and Justin Bieber.

Rolling Stone Mick Jagger will also be making his first appearance on the Grammy stage.

Sunday's tribute to Aretha will also feature Yolanda Adams and country superstar Martina McBride as well as the Florence And The Machine singer, who is up for Best New Artist, Christina and Jennifer.

An embarrassing secret will come to light, affecting your reputation. Somebody who once admired you will now turn away in dismay. Instead of trying to win their affection again, lay low for a wee while. You'll make a much better impression by letting your actions speak for themselves. There is a chance this relationship is beyond redemption. If your former friend decides to keep their distance, you will have no other choice than to respect their feelings. Better luck next time.More
