Wet Wet Wet to perform fabled track

Wet Wet Wet are to perform record-breaking hit Love Is All Around on TV for the first time in a decade - after avoiding it for years because it was driving them to distraction.

The group notched up 15 weeks at number one with the song - featured in hit movie Four Weddings And A Funeral - but asked for it to be deleted because their were tired of its overexposure.

But they have agreed to dust it down for an appearance on the BBC's Children In Need appeal show to be broadcast on November 15 on BBC1.

The group's Tommy Cunningham explained: " We once said that 'We feared people would hear that song again and start jumping off tall buildings,' and for us, we began to feel that if we were asked to perform that song one more time we would scream.

"We wanted to save both ours and the nation's sanity. But time is a great healer and this is the perfect reason to face the behemoth once again."

The group are to release a greatest hits album Step By Step on November 25 and tour their best known songs around the UK next month.

Frontman Marti Pellow said: "We've been long time supporters of Children In Need so we had no hesitation in agreeing to perform Love Is All Around when Pudsey Bear asked us to. We're delighted to be lending our support once again for this great cause."
