White Lies are bound for Belfast

White Lies are to play Belfast in the run-up to Christmas.

The London three-piece — the first British act of 2009 to go to number one in the album charts with their debut To Lose My Life — will play the Mandela Hall on Tuesday, December 8.

Following the release of a number of singles including Unfinished Business and Death, the band secured a headline performance at Radio One’s Big Weekend and a place on the NME Awards tour.

Further singles To Lose My Life and Farewell To The Fairground ensured the band got their first worldwide headline tour. They also played a number of festivals this summer including Glastonbury and Oxegen.

Tickets to see White Lies are now on sale from Ticketmaster outlets and Katy Daly’s.

Gemini:

You never do anything in moderation. Attend every fun party, accept every juicy offer and try all the delectable treats spread before you. Avoid unpleasant people and activities like the plague. This should be a time of enjoyment. Leave your list of chores at home. You can always attend to these jobs at another time. If you have a chance to show your creative work to a publisher, manager or agent, go ahead. This is also a great opportunity to go on job interviews, auditions and first dates.More
