Williams plays down Super Bowl

Michelle Williams wouldn't confirm reports of a Super Bowl appearance

Michelle Williams has revealed Destiny's Child's comeback live performance is not destined to be at the Super Bowl.

Michelle, Beyonce Knowles and Kelly Rowland have reunited for the first time since 2004 and were rumoured to be singing new track Nuclear for the first time together at the prestigious American Football Super Bowl half-time show in February, where Beyonce is confirmed to perform.

But Michelle has told WRUG Radio: "That's not confirmed. It is rumoured. I'm gonna be in the musical Fela!. I hate to disappoint the people and tell them that it's not true."

Beyonce announced Destiny's Child were reforming on her website earlier this month.

Their new album is called Love Songs and is a compilation, but features new track Nuclear, produced by Pharrell Williams.

Fans of the chart-topping group - famed for hits including Bootylicious, Say My Name and Bills, Bills, Bills - will have to wait until the end of the month to hear the new song.

The group released their last studio album, Destiny Fulfilled, in 2004 and since then all three have been working on solo projects, while Beyonce has also become a mum to daughter Blue Ivy.
