Winehouse arrested for drug possession in Norway
Amy Winehouse and her husband have spent the night in a Norwegian jail after being caught with cannabis.
The couple were detained along with a third person at a hotel in the city of Bergen yesterday following a tip-off to the police.
The authorities say they were caught with seven grams of cannabis and were released this morning after paying a €500 fine (£350).
Prosecutor Lars Morten Lothe said Winehouse, her husband Blake Fielder-Civil and a third person were released at around 6am today.
They were arrested shortly after 5pm at a hotel in Bergen in south west Norway after a tip to the police.
"They were found with seven grams of marijuana," Lothe said.
"She's paid the fine, so this thing is over for us now," he said.
Winehouse is due to perform in Bergen tonight and in Oslo on Saturday.
