Wire slams Mumford over good food?

Nicky Wire of the Manic Street Preachers says a bad diet creates better music

Manic Street Preachers' Nicky Wire has said Mumford And Sons make "awful" music - because they eat too well.

The rocker thinks eating bad foods helps musicians make great tunes, and believes that television chefs who teach people how to make healthy dishes will ruin the charts.

The dad-of-two told Noisey: "On Saturday mornings I feel so bad for my children, because all they've got are ugly, moralising chefs on the TV, who I f*****g despise, telling me how to eat."

Nicky, 44, added: "These people will ruin music.

"It's like Mumford And Sons, they obviously eat really well. And that's why their music's so f*****g awful. Do you think Kurt Cobain was eating well when he was making In Utero?

"Bad food equals good music."
