Cougar with pen fails to snare One Direction prey

It could have been the start of a beautiful friendship. Given Harry Styles' penchant for older women and my leaning towards younger men, we might have hit it off.

CBut it wasn't to be. One Direction's security obviously deemed me a threat and refused to let me near the cute teen at the Culloden Hotel. My protests that I just wanted a quick word fell on deaf ears.

The exact quote was: “You're the last person getting to meet him today.”

Maybe they'd been made aware of my slight cougar tendencies, but I think the fact I was obviously a reporter might have proved the stumbling block.

It all looked so promising to begin with. As around 50 teenage fans were divided into groups of five for a meet-and-greet, the tour manager acknowledged my request.

“Not yet, fans first,” he said. “But I am a fan,” I attempted. “Wait over there,” I was told.

But, I was later told in no uncertain terms that it wasn't happening for me. “But I thought you said I'd be the last person to meet him,” I protested. Then I realised what he meant.

Virgo:

A close relationship could reach a rocky patch. Resist the urge to emotionally withdraw from your loved one. Be willing to address the issues that have been pulling you apart. You could hear some painful things about your behaviour. Instead of getting defensive, be open to changing for the sake of your relationship. Think back to a time when someone you loved worked hard to gain your affection and approval. Pattern your attitude after theirs. Being flexible is more important than being right.More
