Cassadaga (Polydor)

With the likes of M Ward and Jason Boesel, Conor Oberst is a leading light in the new generation of superb singer songwriters who are keeping country cool.

And with his brilliant band Bright Eyes, Oberst has been responsible for some of the best rootsy Americana of the past few years.

The band headed off to the spiritualist community of Cassadaga in Florida to record their latest album.

Tracks such as Four Winds, Hot Knives and the truly magnificent If The Breakman Turns My Way are a vehicle for Oberst to release the full depth of his emotions.
