Stainer’s crucifixion in belfast, St Mark’s Church, Dundela, Thursday, March 18, 8pm

Church choirs used to regularly present a performance of John Stainer’s The Crucifixion as part of the lead-up to Easter. It typifies a Victorian approach to religion and provides amateur choirs with a work which is singable. The famous piece is to be sung in the church where CS Lewis was baptised.

Proceeds from this concert by the choir of St Mark’s Church are in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care and the Alzheimer's Society. For tickets call the Box Office on: 028 9065 4090. PH
