Set The Mood

Remember the name David Jordan ? At 21 this exciting singer songwriter from Barnet plays like a seasoned campaigner who's been round the block more than once.

And there's no question he's going to be a huge success.

With a voice that is a combination of Terence Trent D'Arby and Justin Timberlake, Jordan's already off to a flying start.

Add that to the varied tunes on show - and he's surely on to a winner.

Debut album Set The Mood is a whole melting pot of different musical styles ? old-fashioned singalongs, party anthems, 1980s-style pop (think Michael Jackson) and soul (think 1980s group Linx) and, bizarrely, soft rock American style, complete with guitar solos. With all these genres racing around, there's no chance of attention slipping.

Set The Mood is young Jordan's springboard to stardom. Best tracks are Place In My Heart and the title track.

Don't be surprised if the idea for a screenplay or novel arrives as a result of these discussions. You've always had a lively imagination. Writing stories gives you an opportunity to explore different ways of life without abandoning your own comfortable niche. Keep your project secret until you're satisfied with the results. A critic could take the wind out of your sails.More
