Amongst the highlights of this year’s Out To Lunch Arts Festival is an appearance this evening at the Black Box by Scottish singer/songwriter Edwyn Collins, former frontman of post-punk indie band Orange Juice.
After disbanding in 1985, the band were reunited briefly in 2008. However, during the intervening years Collins had enjoyed a successful solo career as a singer, as well as producing bands including The Proclaimers and The Cribs. An almost fatal brain haemorrhage in 2005 devastated both Collins' health and career, but his remarkable and inspiring recovery has returned the singer back to top form.
