Ian Brown

Madchester's main ‘monkey man’, Ian Brown, is in Belfast this Sunday night, treating fans to a show containing tracks from his latest album, My Way, solo hits and, if he's feeling generous, maybe a few Stone Roses classics.

As front man of the seminal baggy-era band, Brown's charisma and distinctive vocals on tracks including Fool's Gold and She Bangs The Drums spawned many imitators, keen to ride on the coat-tails of the Mancunian Messiah.

Shortly after the release of the Stone Roses' ‘difficult' second (and final) album, Second Coming, the band's implosion put Brown on a solo path, with the highs of several Top 10 hits and a well publicised low of a prison sentence for air rage.

Tickets, priced £27 are available from Ticketmaster.

Taurus:

No matter how stringently your loved ones warn you, that won't stop you pursuing a romantic interest. You're utterly captivated by someone who exudes warmth, charisma and drama. If you're not able to provide them with the luxuries they crave, there will be problems. Then again, you have the potential for being a good provider, so all may be well.More
