James vincent mcmorrow, Auntie Annie’s, Belfast, Tonight, 9pm

Dublin singer/songwriter James Vincent McMorrow, may sound like Ray LaMontagne, but make no mistake, this man is going to be every bit a star in his own right.

His writing and vocal talents attracted the attention of major record companies such as EMI and he has racked up some top support slots with the likes of Bon Iver, Iron & Wine, Al Green, and Nathalie Merchant.

James also supported hit American singer/songwriter Tracy Chapman on her European tour last year and is currently touring in support of his excellent debut album, Early In The Morning. Catch him now before he starts headlining at major venues. Tickets £5 from Ticketmaster/Katy Daly’s Bar ( www.cdcleisure.com ).

Watching a light hearted comedy can also be a great way to generate a festive atmosphere. This is a time when people can put their differences aside.More
