One Direction's Zayn Malik battled with his stomach during a press conference in Japan.

The British boy band is visiting Tokyo on a promotional tour.

During a Q&A on Friday, Zayn appeared extremely uncomfortable onstage alongside his bandmates Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan.

Apparently Zayn was queasy as he sprinted offstage abruptly during the discussion.

"He had been rubbing his tummy throughout proceedings, then suddenly, he took a deep breath and dashed off stage because he felt so unwell," a source told British newspaper The Mirror.

"The others were all looking around concerned for a while, then Niall checked with management to see if he was OK.

"They moved up to take his seat away so it didn't look too weird, while Zayn went back to his hotel to recover."

It seems that Zayn is feeling a bit better as he managed to appear at another interview later in the day.
