23 thrown out of Kevin Hart comedy show for flouting phones and cameras ban

Nearly two dozen fans of comedian Kevin Hart were asked to leave one of his shows after flouting a strict ban on using mobile phones or other recording equipment.

The American had vetoed the use of phones and cameras at his performance at the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham last Friday.

But, despite warnings, 23 people were caught using recording devices and were asked to leave, according to the NEC Group, which runs the venue.

A spokeswoman said: "This was an extreme case, and the venue made every effort to ensure that the message was clearly communicated to customers via all avenues available, prior to the show and on site.

"Any customers seen to be using these devices were asked to leave the venue. We can confirm that 23 customers were asked to leave the venue for not adhering to the production's request."
