Actress Banks gets mothering honour

Elizabeth Banks is to be honoured with the March of Dimes' 2014 Grace Kelly Award, which recognises celebrities who champion healthy pregnancies.

Host Jason Bateman will present the Hunger Games actress with her award at the ninth annual Celebration of Babies luncheon on December 5. Elizabeth has two boys born to the same surrogate, Felix, three, and one-year-old Magnus.

"As a mother, you realise very early on when you're holding your baby that your greatest wish for them is that they are happy and healthy," the star said in a statement. She praised March of Dimes for its ongoing dedication to helping families with premature births and birth defects.

Over one million dollars was raised for March of Dimes at the 2013 event, where Elizabeth presented the Grace Kelly Award to Reese Witherspoon.
