Adam Rodriguez to be a dad again
Magic Mike star praises new co-stars on Criminal Minds.
Actor Adam Rodriguez is set to become a father for the second time.
The Magic Mike star tied the knot with model Grace Gail in May (16), and when asked by an Entertainment Tonight reporter if he used some of his stripper moves from the blockbuster franchise on his new wife during their honeymoon, he let it slip that his skills had worked perhaps a little too well.
"We have one baby... and we have another one on the way, so...," Adam admitted. "Something (his slick dance moves) got broken out!"
Adam, who became a dad to daughter Frankie in 2014, also gushed about life as a married man.
"There is a different feeling," he said. "We had a baby already, so we were both all the way in (committed), as it was. But to actually wear that ring, and call someone your wife? There's a certain pride.
"It feels great. I love it. When that person comes along and that thing works out how you always hoped it would... I mean, it's magical."
And while his personal life continues to blossom, his career is also going from strength to strength, as the 41-year-old was recently cast as a regular on U.S. procedural drama Criminal Minds, following the departure of Shemar Moore earlier this year (16).
However, no matter how different his new acting gig may be, Adam admitted his new co-stars haven't been afraid to bring up his Magic Mike role either, saying, "You can always tell when somebody brings it up. It's usually one of the girls. Actually, it's funny when one of the dudes brings it up. 'Saw you in that movie, man. It was funny. Funny.'"
Despite the teasing, Adam insists the cast has been nothing but welcoming to him, adding, "It's kind of like the first day at school, I guess... you're meeting everybody for the first time. But I couldn't have lucked out and ended in a better place. I mean, everybody here is really, really fantastic. Crew, cast, everybody."
The 12th season of Criminal Minds kicks off in September (16).
