Adele wants an engagement ring that can be "seen from space".

The British singer is dating Simon Konecki at the moment and there have been rumours the pair are planning to wed.

Adele has been spotted at several awards shows with a large band on her ring finger, leading to speculation Simon has popped the question. However, she has been overheard insisting the jewellery is just a pretty accessory and discussing what sort of ring she'd like when she does settle down.

"I want one you can see from space," British newspaper The Mirror claims she said when asked if she'd like a diamond engagement band.

It was recently reported that Adele and Simon are already planning a wedding.

They are said to be keen to marry in Las Vegas, with just a small group of family and friends present. The pair will then honeymoon in Memphis, before jetting back to the UK and throwing a celebratory party on a bigger scale.

Adele is famed for penning songs about her ex-boyfriends. Her albums 19 and 21 have both been about bad break-ups, with her famed track Someone Like You an ode to a former partner who quickly settled down with another woman.

"I wrote that to feel better about myself and it was about trying to convince myself that we will meet someone and I will be happy," she previously said.

"In fact, next time I sing Someone Like You, I'm going to be like, never mind, I found someone like you. Please forget me!"
