Adele's father: I am dead to her

Adele

Adele's dad Mark Evans laments over the silent feud that is taking place between them currently.

The 24-year-old British singer welcomed her first son with partner Simon Konecki in October 2012.

Adele was raised by a single mother after Mark left his family when she was two.

Apparently the songstress has never been able to forgive her father.

After Mark gave an interview about Adele in 2011, he claims that she shut him out completely.

"I've left messages on her phone, I've written to her and I've sent her birthday and Christmas cards but it's like I'm dead to her," Mark told UK's Mail Online.

"I'm not interested in her celebrity status or her money. I just want my daughter back and I want to be a proper granddad to the little one."

Adele still hasn't publicly revealed her little boy's name, but it is rumoured to be Angelo James.

Mark doesn't approve of the moniker or her choice to keep her pregnancy private.

"Not only did I hear I was going to be a granddad for the first time via the media, I found out the same way that she's calling the baby Angelo James…" he said.

"I'm not sure why she's chosen James, other than a reference to James Bond, and God alone knows where Angelo has come from.

"It's very LA, isn't it?"

Adele picked up the Best Original Song Golden Globe Award for her track Skyfall earlier this month and she is also nominated for an Academy Award.

Although he is proud of his daughter, Mark won't see her perform at the Oscars next month.

"I know she'll win because she's brilliant but I won't be there and I won't even watch it on television," Mark declared.
