Alec Baldwin to host talk show?

Alec Baldwin looks set to host his own talk show.

The former 30 Rock actor is reportedly in talks about fronting a weekly programme on US cable news network MSNBC.

Mediaite suggested the star would have an hour-long show which would air on Friday nights.

Alec, 55, is no stranger to the network, having starred on NBC's award-winning 30 Rock for seven seasons.

It isn't the first time it has been reported that the actor is making the move to chat shows. Earlier this year there were rumours that the star was in talks about a spot on NBC's late-night line-up.

An insider told E! News at the time that although there has been "nothing close" to a deal or offer made to the actor, there had been "conversations".

Alec also has experience of interviewing famous people in his weekly podcast Here's The Thing.
