Amal Clooney: I’m not pregnant!
George Clooney and new wife Amal are not set to become first time parents.
The newlyweds were faced with rumours of a pregnancy on Monday after they were photographed at the weekend and the 36-year-old appeared to be sporting a bump. But a spokesperson for the couple was quick to quash the speculation.
“Amal Clooney is not pregnant,” Stan Rosenfield confirmed to MailOnline.
The Ides of March star married the British lawyer in Venice back in September in a star-studded ceremony. The star was seen escorting his spouse out of Soho House in West Hollywood at the weekend along with a small entourage. Amal wore a black dress with a white coat over the top that appeared to billow around the waist.
“Coats generally don't hang out from your body, and the placement of her hands adds fuel to the fire,” TMZ had previously noted alongside the images.
While the rumours have been promptly nipped in the bud, it was widely commented on before the nuptials that the 53-year-old actor was keen for fatherhood sooner rather than later.
“George is saying he's ready to do this - he thought he never wanted children, but meeting Amal has made him realize he is ready for a family," a source told British magazine Closer. "He's so glad that she has come into his life and knows he wants her to be the mother of his kids. He's saying that he's looking forward to holding his own child, and watching him or her grow. He wants to be a part of something that's bigger than him.”
