Amanda Bynes: I'm not troubled
Amanda Bynes wants the world to "respect her privacy."
The 26-year-old star is currently facing five criminal charges - two counts of misdemeanour hit-and-run, driving under the influence and two counts of driving with a suspended licence.
If Amanda is convicted on the hit-and-runs alone, she faces up to one year in jail.
In Touch magazine recently printed a story claiming that Amanda looked "totally out of it" while walking around naked in a New York City tanning salon.
Amanda has had enough of the rumours.
"I'm suing In Touch for printing a fake story," she told Us Weekly.
"I'm not 'troubled.' I don't get naked in public. I'm 26, a multi-millionaire, retired. Please respect my privacy."
The Los Angeles City Attorney's office recently reopened a case on a car accident involving Amanda that occurred in April following the star being accused of a second hit-and-run on August 4.
In April Amanda was accused of hitting a vehicle in a rental car while driving on the 101 Hollywood Freeway and then fleeing the scene.
Amanda was dropped by her agent, publicist and entertainment lawyer due to her erratic behaviour.
Apparently Amanda's milieu are concerned about her mental health.
