Amanda Bynes ‘unsure of sexuality’
Amanda Bynes allegedly enjoyed lesbian relationships before her hospitalisation, even though she wasn't "sure of her sexuality".
The troubled star is currently under involuntary psychiatric hold at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles after moving from a mental health facility in Ventura County, California, last week.
Prior to her hospitalisation, sources say the 27-year-old was involved in several lesbian relationships while living in Manhattan.
“She worried that her parents would be upset about it and it’s not a label she wanted publicly,” an insider told Radar Online.
“But I don’t really even know if Amanda is sure of her sexuality. I think she was just a little lost and yearning for love and attention anywhere she could get it.”
Mounting fears for Amanda's mental wellbeing came to a head after she was recently arrested for starting a fire in a residential driveway in Thousand Oaks, California.
The source claims that the former child actress was keen to experiment with her sexuality despite her troubles.
“She didn’t really hide it or keep it a secret with those that were close to her, which wasn’t really a lot of people,” the source continued. “But she was sexually and romantically involved with a close female friend of hers. And a couple times she even had more than one woman in bed with her.
“I know that up until Amanda flew back to LA and was picked up on the 5150 she was still seeing the girl she’d been seeing for months. But it was nothing serious. Just more like close friends who fooled around.”
Rapper Drake was the subject of scathing insults and over-the-top compliments posted on Amanda's verified social media account prior to her admittance into hospital.
The star called Drake the “man of my dreams” and “fugly” and said he looks like he has Down’s Syndrome on the website, often tweeting his handle directly.
The hip hop star recently spoke out about Amanda's erratic behaviour towards him.
“I don’t even know who that is doing that or what that’s about,” he told XXL magazine.
“If that is her, I guess it’s a little weird and disturbing. It’s obviously a behavioural pattern that is way bigger than me. Whoever is behind it, whether it’s her or somebody else, they know people are paying attention so they keep it going,” he reasoned.
