Amber Riley confesses that she has "only gotten through the first chapter" of Chris Colfer's book.

The Glee star recently ordered co-star Chris' new children's tome The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell.

Amber admits she hasn't exactly raced through Chris' work.

"I've only gotten through the first chapter," she revealed to MTV News. "Don't kill me, Chris! I'm gonna read it. It's really good."

The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell is Chris's first book.

Amber made it a point to support her colleague's new literary career.

"He actually tried to give me the copy, like the copy he was passing around, but I really wanted to, like, invest and buy it, so I downloaded it and bought it," Amber revealed.

Chris wrote the book while on a Glee concert tour with Amber and the rest of the cast. The ensemble is currently on hiatus from filming the hit Fox comedy.

Glee returns to Fox for its fourth season in September.
