Chris Klein tied the knot with travel agent Laina Rose Thyfault in a gorgeous country setting on Sunday.

The 36-year-old actor, who is well known for portraying Chris 'Oz' Ostreicher in classic 1999 comedy American Pie, has been dating the travel agent for four years.

The lovebirds held their nuptials on Sunday in a picturesque backdrop at the Rainbow Ranch in Montana, which is located on the shore of the Gallatin River.

"Laina and Chris wanted to stay true to the nature of Montana and chose native grasses, sage and flowers in a soft colour palette to reflect the beauty of Montana," their wedding planner Jennifer Horsley of Habitat Events told People magazine of the event’s décor.

The Rainbow Ranch church features vintage pews and a special doorway that was crafted as a custom piece for the place of worship.

Laina and Chris tied the knot in front of just 115 of their close loved ones.

The couple announced their engagement last December and they first met at a friend’s wedding.

Chris has largely stayed out of the media spotlight because he struggled with an alcohol addiction for several years.

The star previously spoke about how alcoholism brought him to his knees.

"It got to the point where I was a fragile shadow of the young man that came into this business," he told People. "Today, I'm the luckiest guy alive."

In addition to becoming married, Chris has another major breakthrough to celebrate this year. The star is returning to the big screen in movie Out of the Furnace, a World War I feature that centres on a wild journey through the Arabian desert.
