Amy Adams: Loneliness makes me giddy
Amy Adams turns into a "golden retriever" if she has spent too much time alone.
The Hollywood actress is often away from home for long periods while she is making movies. Amy feels desperately homesick when she is separated from her fiancé Darren Le Gallo and their young daughter Aviana. She becomes overly giddy around people if she has been on her own for too long.
"There's a lot of bad food. It's just so, so lonely," the 38-year-old confessed about staying in hotels during movie shoots. "Then when I find company, I turn into a golden retriever - I'm so excited to see people, I become manic, and talk too much."
Amy has been engaged for over five years and there has been much speculation about when she will finally tie the knot. The star admits she has been too busy with her career and motherhood to find time to plan a wedding, but is hoping she will walk down the aisle soon.
"I think I actually have time now. I haven't another film until spring. So hopefully…," she smiled during an interview with British newspaper The Telegraph.
Amy has joked that getting married to Darren will make it easier for her to define their relationship.
"I think of him as my husband, but people get confused because we're not married. 'Fiancé' sounds weird as we've been engaged so long," she laughed. "There's 'partner', 'guy'… How about 'Darren'?"
