Amy Adams reveals spontaneous streak

Amy Adams

Amy Adams says one of her favourite memories is also the most unexpected thing she's ever done.

The actress shared one of her favourite memories from the early days of her relationship with her fiancé, actor Darren Le Gallo.

The 38-year-old beauty says the unexpected event is something she'll always remember.

"A little while ago I was working in London with my boyfriend - now my fiancé - Darren and we decided out of nowhere to jump on the train and go to Paris. We didn’t have any reservations or any particular plans, and neither of us speaks a word of French," Amy told British magazine HELLO! "We arrived and, even thought it was raining, we ended up having some of the most romantic moments of our lives. Wandering around Paris in the rain was really magical. Now I think of that every time I go to Paris."

Although she named the French capital city as a special place, Amy says she doesn't have a final destination in mind when it comes to her life as a whole.

The Man of Steel actress explained her philosophy is to live for each day and not think too much about the future.

"I'm still working on it [my philosophy]," she laughed. "I think that's the great thing about life, it's a journey not a destination."
