Amy Childs: 'I was more like a mum to baby daddy Bradley'

The former star of The Only Way Is Essex confirmed she had broken up with Bradley just six weeks after welcoming daughter Polly into the world.

Amy Childs split from her baby daddy Bradley Wright after feeling more like his mother than his girlfriend following the birth of their daughter.

The former star of The Only Way Is Essex confirmed she had broken up with Bradley just six weeks after welcoming daughter Polly into the world.

And now, in a new interview with OK! magazine, Amy has revealed the reasons behind the end of the relationship, admitting she hadn't felt sexually attracted towards him for some time.

"After Polly arrived, he was sleeping in a different room. Towards the end I became more like a friend and his mum," she told the publication. "Even when he came home from work he'd have a cuddle with her and he did that a little bit but then he'd go upstairs. I think he was just so over it. When she was crying in the night, he wouldn't come in and say, 'Can I help?' It was always me."

However, Bradley hit back at Amy's claims in his response to the interview, telling the magazine that the nature of his work means it's "dangerous" if he's tired.

"I’m adjusting to the split from Amy; it’s hard. If Amy feels like I wasn’t helping with Polly it was because I’ve been very busy with work. I’m a tree surgeon and ground worker, so it’s dangerous if I’m tired," he explained.

"It’s all new to Amy, having a baby, and she’s been very tired – particularly after five days in. Everything was my fault and I never had a say, so I just kept out of it. I wasn’t Amy’s priority – other people were."

When news of Amy and Bradley's split broke, it was claimed she had thrown him out of her house. But a representative for the reality star turned entrepreneur insisted the break-up was "amicable".

"Amy has not thrown Brad out, but they have split up amicably," her spokesperson said in a statement. "Brad will of course see Polly whenever he likes and they will remain friends."
