Andre names rescue dogs after film

It was puppy love at first sight for TV star and singer Peter Andre when he dropped into Battersea Dogs and Cats Home to name two of its newest residents.

The star, who became a father again last month, named the dogs after the title characters in the new film Mr Peabody And Sherman, which features one of his songs on the soundtrack.

He said: "I'm so excited to be reuniting with Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, a fantastic charity who bring happiness to so many families across the UK through their dogs.

"I personally adopted a dog from them and they were amazing. I can't think of a better way to mark my new partnership with DreamWorks Animation on their brand new family movie, Mr Peabody And Sherman, than by naming two of Battersea's dogs after the film's two main characters.

"Now we just need to find them a new home."

Peter's partner Emily MacDonagh gave birth to their daughter Amelia at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton, Somerset.

The presenter already has two children - Princess and Junior - from his relationship with ex-wife Katie Price.
