Angelina Jolie 'advised to wed in Hawaii'

Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie has reportedly been advised to wed in Hawaii next year by a Buddhist monk.

The Hollywood star is known to have a close bond with Ajarn Noo and has previously consulted him about tattoos and adopting children.

It's now been claimed she has also discussed her nuptials with Brad Pitt with the monk, who has suggested where and when she should walk down the aisle.

"Ajarn presented Angelina with a number of symbolic options as to where she could get married. He suggested Hawaii, as that is where her mother's ashes were scattered. He also suggested a Buddhist ceremony in Thailand and a ceremony at their chateau in the south of France. But he's advised not until next summer," a source told the British edition of Grazia magazine.

The news comes as a surprise as it was widely reported the two acting icons were planning to wed later this year. However, at the recent Cannes Film Festival Brad insisted no date had been set.

Brad proposed to Angelina - who he raises six children with - several times before she said yes. The star has been wed twice before and apparently didn't think tying the knot would better her romance with Brad.

"Ajarn sat and talked with Angelina for a long time," the insider said. "He listened to all her concerns before doing the equivalent of a soul-binding prayer and asking several Buddhist deities to guide and keep them on the right track. He's a very calming influence on Angie."
